Brody is a gorgeous white and fawn colored retriever mix who weighs about 55 pounds, is neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. He is estimated to be about 5-6 yrs old. Brody gets along with other dogs but not interested in playing. He is hesitant at first and will need time and patience from his new family. He will need someone that can work on his manners in a completely positive way and help him reach his full potential. A fenced in yard is Required as he is very skittish when walking outside of his comfort zone area. If you are looking for a walking partner or someone to take to the park he is NOT your dog. An experienced pet parent(s) is needed for Brody as he has some resource guarding issues that will take time to overcome. He is a vocal dog and tries to communicate with sounds that can be misunderstood at first. He is the type of dog that needs time to trust his human before bonding. He's come a long way in his foster home but will need continued reinforcement. We believe older kids or no kids would be best for him since he is still learning boundaries. Preferably a low key home without a lot of visitors or activity.
